Lunchtime Conversations

20 November 2025

Venue: Westminster

Our Lunchtime Conversations are a regular monthly event.

All our welcome. They are open to MPs, Peers and all parliamentary staff. They take place in the CPA UK Room in Westminster Hall .

Our next Lunchtime Conversation is on Thursday 20 November at 12 noon.

It's about reducing the voting age to 16.

Parliamentarians from Guernsey will be on the panel, sharing their experiences of reducing the voting age. That was nearly 20 years ago.

Last month (October) the Editor of The House magazine, Francis Elliott, chaired an insightful discussion about the use of AI in Parliament. The panellists were Mark Sewards MP,  Dr Luke Evans MP and Nusrat Ghani MP, who is also Principal Deputy Speaker.

We also held a Lunchtime Conversation about threats to democracy and how parliamentarians cope with those threats. It was on the last day of parliamentary business in July, and marked one year of a new Parliament. Read more here.

Keep up to date with our Lunchtime Conversations by going to the weekly All Party Notices (APN).
