CPA UK facilitated a visit by the British Virgin Islands Public Accounts Committee to the States Assembly of Jersey for a programme between 11 - 13 March.
The programme involved meetings with key stakeholders such as the Jersey PAC Chair, the States Greffier/Chief Clerk, the Comptroller and Auditor General, and a virtual meeting with the Tynwald PAC Chair. The programme also included sessions to address specific topics raised by the delegation, including procedures for public hearings, staffing structures, and the legislative framework.
This opportunity was organised by CPA UK, as part of the UK Overseas Territories Project (UKOTP), which supports good governance and oversight of public finances in the UK Overseas Territories.
