What are the barriers for disabled people standing for elected office and how can they be overcome? 

This virtual seminar will consider the real-life obstacles faced by parliamentarians with disabilities, as well as those standing for elected office. Organised by the British Islands and Mediterranean Region Commonwealth Parliamentarians with Disabilities Champion, Jeremy Balfour MSP, the webinar will be an interactive space for parliamentarians from a diverse range of Parliaments in the region to hear from a range of speakers, as well as share views and experiences.
