CPA UK is excited to host two, five-day virtual training workshops for Commonwealth Public Accounts Committees. 

The workshops will take place on the following dates: 

• Monday 11 October – Friday 15 October 2021, for the Americas, Europe, and West Africa. 
• Monday 18 October – Friday 22 October 2021, for East Africa, Asia, and the Pacific 

The workshops will be a fantastic opportunity for delegates to discuss good practice with colleagues from across the Commonwealth. Our programme will explore each stage of the inquiry process from evidence gathering and effective questioning techniques to reports, recommendations, and media engagement. Throughout the week there will be a focus on efficient and ethical procurement practices. 

The fourth day of the workshop will centre around a committee hearing exercise in which delegates will have the opportunity to put lessons learned into practice. This simulation exercise will be based on a past PAC inquiry and will allow participants to demonstrate their effective questioning abilities.  

At the end of the workshop, a bank of resources will be made available on the CAPAC Portal for PACs to refer to when conducting a future inquiry on the theme of public procurement.
