CPA UK Women’s Roadshows: Recorded Version

The below videos are a recorded version of CPA UK’s second cohort Women’s Roadshows, which took place between October-December 2021, as part of a project funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

These updated workshops aimed to ensure women parliamentarians are better able to mitigate the experiences of online and offline abuse, in order to more confidently participate in their parliamentary business both online and offline. This included training on digital self-defence, digital citizenship, assertive communication, and safety responses.

The below recording features the first section of the Roadshows, delivered by Glitch - a UK charity working to end online abuse. This session covers the issue of online abuse experienced by women parliamentarians, including strategies on building resilience and developing digital self-defence skills.

The second section is delivered by communications consultancy Bespoke Skills, covering general communication skills, with a focus on supporting women parliamentarians in challenging online and offline abuse through assertive communication.

After completing the recorded version of the Roadshows, CPA UK would be grateful if parliamentarians were able to complete this post-assessment form. Your responses will support CPA UK to ensure future sessions are relevant to your role. If you have any questions, please contact knoxa@parliament.uk.
